The range of V-1100 vermiculite slabs equally suitable for hot-face applications or back-up insulation of all refractory constructions and has a variety of uses in high-temperature kilns and furnaces, combustion plants, boilers as well as in hearth and heating appliances.  Due to their high resistance to carbon monoxide and hydrocarbons vermiculite slabs can be used in furnaces with reducing atmospheres.  The high-density grade VIP-12 has a good resistance to cryolite and fluorides, which makes it particularly suitable for uses within the primary aluminium industry.

The Skamol V-1100 vermiculite slabs cover several grades in various combinations of bulk density, insulation properties and compressive strength.  They show good thermal shock resistance, high mechanical strength, and excellent insulation values.
