Capyt SS100 is Portland Cement-based with fibre reinforcements, giving a hard, dust-free surface on insulated pipe work and all types of industrial plant and equipment.
It is supplied in dry form in strong, polythene bags containing 25 kgs of material. When mixed with clean water on site and trowelled into place it gives a crack resistant, tough surface suitable for painting. Approximate usage of water would be 19 litres per 25 kg bag.
In practice, the precise amount of water needed will depend on the porosity of the material to be covered, more water being required when covering highly porous substrates. It is suitable for application onto surface temperatures not exceeding 150°C.
Used for heat conservation and personal protection on boilers, calorifiers, pipe work and vessels, both internally and externally. It has a covering capacity of 190 m² per tonne at 10 mm thickness. Applied density is 875 kgs/m³.
