SoliBlanket™ CR-Grade

SoliBlanket CR-grade is one of our Special Grade RCF products and provides the highest classification and continuous use temperature of all melt/spun fibers using Chromium Oxide and  further microcrystalline processing during production. The SoliBlanket CR-grade has a classification temperature of 1480°C and is engineered to perform continuously in a wide range of applications up till 1350°C continuously.

SoliBlanket CR-grade is one of our most durable products and is unaffected by most chemicals and can be used in the most severe operating condition. It is most of the time the working solution for applications in the production of special grades stainless steel, where normal RCF fiber is not giving the expected life time expectation.


If there is one word to decribe our SoliBlanket CR-grade, the word would be; tough. Where a typical RCF-Zr is at 2-3% shrinkage at 1300 C, the Soliblanket CR-grade is just over 1%… And next to the incredibly low shrinkage it also shows extreme durability in poluting atmospheres. It might not be the smoothest fiber, neither is it the best thermal insulating, but SoliBlanket CR-grade goes on were other grades of fibers stop.

Compared to other versions of a Chrome-blanket the Soliblanket CR-grade is stronger, feels more comfortable to handle and provides better thermal insulation. Even when we are manufacturing a very special grade refractory ceramic fiber, like the SoliBlanket CR-grade, the manufacturing advantage of ULS technology, keeps delivering.

SoliBlanket CR-grade is part of the SoliBlanket product range. With a variety of five Refractory Ceramic Fiber (RCF) grades and the famous ‘ULS’ Low Bio Persistence Fiber grade we are offering one of the most extensive ranges of high temperature fiber blankets in the market today. With our  different chemical compositions we are able to provide a solution to nearly every atmosphere or temperature.
